Memory

Dedicated to a special memory, to a special person. I know this is nothing, is just a way to say "Ti penso" .

For a friend, Luois

Quote

“Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.”

Allen Ginsberg.

My personal explenations concerning the connection between the quote, song and picture are too shy and preferred to stay hide in my mind. I hope you will forgive them.
Thank you.

I know, I'm stock in the Pop Art culture and Rock n' Roll . What can I say, I just think they match each other perfectly. It's simply that one goes with the other one.
Yep, in this case, I really liked the effect of the andy warhol portray painting next to the cd's cover that remembered the artist's style (yep, it has been done on purpose, I guess...)

Last night a great movie gave me the ispiration for this new post . The movie's title is °The boat that rocked" in Italy translated as "I love Radio Rock" . The art work is from Andy Warhol . I'm not going to explain the connection between the two, just watch the movie, get to know Andy Warhol and listen to the song. This post is gonna be the first of a long series...

To go with "The wave" (Gauguin & Hiroshige) .

Here another example of wave. Actually, this painting made by Hiroshige, represent the japanese style that affected so greatly Gauguin's art and other artists of that time. There are some similarities between the two art works, the white of the foam, the black that underlined the moto of the wave and gives it power.
Of course, different artists, different art works.
